Membership is open to all practitioners who agree with the principles and objectives of IAPCA, have an interest in one or more applications of the PCA and members of a recognised professional body which has an official complaints procedure if practising as a counsellor, therapist or psychologist. These include BACP, IACP, PSI, BPS, NAPCP and IAHIP. Other organisations will be considered on provision of evidence of an appropriate code of ethics and official complaints procedure. Members who are student counsellors/psychotherapists/psychologists are required to adhere to codes of ethics laid down by the centre of learning/and or placement agency.
